#24 Ramblings for the start of 2012

I would say the start of my 2012 has been pretty good!

I celebrated my NYE with Andrew's family & cousins. They are all very nice, friendly and welcoming. It was quite a refreshing event because as far as I know my chinese relatives are never as lively and fun as they are. I also notice they hug everyone which is really warm because I like hugs and I don't recall my dad's side of the family giving hugs very often. Actually rarely. Hahaha. My mum's side.... Got la, I think. Anywho basically it was just a very nice occasion with very nice company : )

Andrew's cousin's house (Raisa's house) has a really nice view! But I didn't bring my camera so I had to make do with my BB. You can actually see the entire KL, so we saw quite a few fireworks :B Very nice!

This is India, their niece I think. She has a British accent and she's really adorable. I honestly took quite a few seconds to actually comprehend what she says to me before I reply her. :S

Also went swimming at Bronwyn's place the other day. Fun fun fun! Haven't swam in a loooooong time. Discovered that Jimmy can hold his breath and swim underwater from one end to the other end of the pool. O_O

Meeting up with some friends this week, haven't seen them in quite a while. Yay!

Oh ya, my dad and I finally managed to book our flight tickets to US. Took so long yesterday because we went into the United website (US one), picked our flights, seats, was going to make payment but couldn't because the country was fixed to US. :S We only managed to figure out how to solve that after a while. Supposed to book through the Singapore website for United Airlines... Haiyaaaaaaa~

I'M SO EXCITED!! :D

However, the flights are quite long hours and we're transiting to a couple of places. That's gonna be tiring. Just coming back to Malaysia itself takes us 3 whole days......

But still... EXCITED!!!! :D

#23 Ramblings for the last day of 2011

Last day of 2011....... doesn't feel much different than any other day. Wondering whether I should make NY resolutions.... that always fail in the end. But I think I should think of some anyway. Wondering how to evaluate my 2011 on whether it has more ups than downs or vice versa. Can't really decide... Well I guess as usual there's always 2 sides to everything.

I think I'm 'quite' lazy when I am home. 'Quite' would be an understatement. I'm either sleeping, watching a show or just using my lappy half the time. At the very far end of my mind I feel like I should use my time to do or accomplish more productive activities but I am just too darn lazy. Boo.

I should really, really get a hobby that I can put time into. Have yet to figure out what I should do. Any ideas?

One thing I always *intend* to do is to read more books. The books I have been *intending* to read has not been read. Or I tend to read, then bookmark it, then neglect it for quite a while, forget what I read earlier on, start from the beginning... and the cycle repeats. T.T Sigh.

Back at work, I would be faced with a question,

"What does THAT sound like??"

"Excuses..."

NEED TO BE MORE PRODUCTIVE.

All in all, I would say I'm still grateful for whatever has happened in 2011. Even the downsides has another side to it as they say when a door closes, a window opens. I hope many more windows may open next year, wishfully without any doors closing.

Oh and I would say the saying that hit me the most this year would be "You never know what you have until you lose it." Can't express how true that is. We should never take anything for granted.

Anyway, I hope you all will have a good start to the new year! : )

#22 Take Me Out

Well well it is time to blog about my temporary moment of "fame":3 This was sometime in November.

Anywho, one of my lecturers asked our class if we wanted to go to KRU Studios in Cyberjaya to be part of a live audience for the Take Me Out show. Its actually a show from the UK, as usual Malaysia will remake our own version hahaha.

On the bus I was feeling very queasy :S Had an uncomfortable ride cause I felt I had to puke/burp. Got car sick. Aaaaaaand eventually puked.... in a plastic bag. Heh heh. Nadia was frantically shouting, "ANYONE GOT PLASTIC BAG?!?!" Hahahaha.

You know that moment where you need to puke but you have nowhere to puke and you're holding in your puke and when there's no choice you just have to swallow back your puke.....

Yup.

Anyway, in the midst of being nauseous, I got a phone call and in a nutshell they said I was chosen to be a contestant in the show; then asked for my dress size and shoe size. Was ecstatic for a moment.....then got back to my nauseous-ness. A few other girls from the foundation class got picked too.

*Found out in the end that it was my lecturer who picked our names and gave it to the person to call us* Lecturer thinks I yam outspoken. Hehhhhhh *sorry, bangga*

After we reached, we had to immediately go get dressed + make up + hair + whatever else; while the rest went on a tour of the studio and had lunch. Boooo I also wanted to go on tour... and eat. The whole dress up part took quite long and I didn't have anything to eat T.T

I am lucky the dress fit me alright and that I didn't get the other pink dress that the other girl got...because I would look sooooooooo chinese in that. And its very body hugging which I don't really fancy.. Hehe.

Guy in the middle is one of the ones contesting... I think he works on a boat or something. Forgot. Hahaha he sang some song after that on the 3rd round to WOW the ladies.... But I think when he reached the high pitch it sounded a bit... funneh.

Hiding behind my podium during break time. Its actually quite tiring just standing there the entire time and having the smile constantly because the director guy said "There's 8 cameras, and if you don't smile, pretty sure there's a camera that will catch you not smiling." Hahaha.

I look like a china doll.... Tbh I don't really fancy blue eyeshadow. I think it looks weird. Or maybe because I don't even use eyeshadow. Ha ha ha.

They were trained before the show to applause really loudly and scream whenever the show starts. Lols.

The most surprising part of the show was when the 4th guy (last guy) came out..... and it was someone I actually knew. Ruben Chai....... from church...... my brother's friend. Oh goodness hahaha I immediately pressed my button :P

Brief explanation of how the show goes :

30 girls, 4 men.

Round 1 : Guy will introduce themselves.

*Ladies can choose to accept/reject by leaving their lights on/pressing their button to off it*

Round 2 : Ladies will watch a video about the guy.

*Same option for the ladies*

Round 3 : Guy will "impress" the ladies by doing some kind of performance.

*Same option for the ladies*

If more than 2 ladies wants the same man, the guy instead will choose amongst them which 2 he favours most, and he'll ask them a question. I guess depending on their answer, the guy will pick the one most suited to him.

Then they'll go on ONE date. The end.

Anywho, its not really a reality show because things are already pre-fixed. Like certain races can't go out with certain races. If you know what I mean. But good experience overall, I don't know how they stand doing that from like 7am til night time... I would die of boredom.

However, am grateful to my lecturer for creating the opportunity of having this rare experience!

#21 Singapore trip

Ah been wanting to update about my Singapore trip for ages now! Finally done editing all the pictures today.

Had a trip down to Singapore from the 24th - 26th of October during our semester break. The main plan was just to go Singapore Universal Studios so we went for 3D2N.

Day 1 :

The first day we just went for some typical sightseeing. I've been to Singapore a few times now so I kinda know the way around with the LRT/MRT. We went to see the "durian" building, Esplanade, its just a performing arts centre with a feeeew shops inside..

And of course who doesn't see the famous Marina Bay Sands whilst in Singapore... I always wondered how the pool up there looks like, but apparently the tour visits stopped because hotel guests were complaining about invasion of privacy. Haha not surprised...

Omg I looooove this shop!! Cause its filled with so many pretty and adorable notebooks and calendars and planners and such. I just love all these things... If I were richer I would so buy them all. I did buy a few though :3 This was the same shop I went to in Korea last time, but was kinda in a rush cause we were on a tour.. I bought a few notebooks from Korea, still haven't used them :B Bought 2 or 3 from Singapore too hehehe.

I really love pretty notebooks but sometimes they're so pretty I don't want to use them at all T.T I had this notebook-frenzy thing since high school. Or primary. My mum used to scold me for buying so many notebooks, she said I was wasting my money T.T

Oh well hehehe I still buy them.

Day 2 :

Woke up at like 8 something to have breakfast and then start our trip to USS. Took the MRT to Harbour Front, then took the RWS8 Bus straight to USS! :) We reached ngam ngam at the opening hour, 10am :D Surprisingly saw a lot of people, mostly people who were on tour.. like china people. *just assuming*

We started with Hollywood, but there weren't any rides there, mostly just souvenir shops and some restaurants. Ahh I love the whole place! Pretty buildings and fun stuff inside.

Next was Madagascar!

Sat on the boat ride, "A Crate Adventure". It was alright, basically just a ride through an indoors Madagascar environment.

Nothing much in Madagascar either, there's only this ride and another kiddy ride. Then some restaurants and a merchandise shop.

Jurassic Park in The Lost World.

The best show was Waterworld!! Its actually based on an actual movie.. obviously called "Waterworld". I think my brother and I watched it a couple of times on tv last time hehe. Anywho it was darn amazing! All the stunts, pyrotechnics, gun shots.. Woooahhhhh. I wonder how long they practiced to do all those stunts with the jet ski's o_o They can actually turn it at the correct angle to splash water at the audience. *jakun*

There were a few of them going around before the show started, rousing the crowds excitement by spraying/shooting water at us. We were sitting pretty near the front so we occasionally got wet hahaha but it was really fun. Some people even had their umbrellas ready prepared and opened to shield themselves hahaha.

Sat on the Canopy Flyer, the ride was less than a minute! It was a sky view of the surroundings, hehe a liiiiiiittle thrilling.

The bottom picture is the Revenge of the Mummy ride in Ancient Egypt. Indoor rollercoaster which was aweeesome. I liked how it halted at one point, rotated us around and then we went backwards. Wooooohhhh. At one area there was fire on the ceiling and you could actually feel the heat. Woaaaaahhh. Probably the most thrilling roller coaster I've sat there. Cause I didn't sit the Cylon and Human rollercoasters cause they looked death defying hahaha.

Next; to the land of Far Far Away! Ahhh pretty castles and magical fairtytale surroundings..

Went for the Shrek 4D Adventure... which was also amaaaazing. Best 4D ride I've ever gone for.

I like how when Donkey sneezed, we could actually feel WATER sprayed all over our face. Hahaha that was fun. Also when there were spiders crawling on the ground, we could feel things tingling around our legs hahaha a little freaky.

Oooh yeah we also sat on a roller coaster, "Enchanted Airways". Its actually a junior roller coaster so it wasn't all that scary hahaha. But being Shaun's first roller coaster he screamed a lot :P

Donkey Live show, an interactive show. I think its more suited for kids though hahaha cause its just Donkey talking to you from a screen. Sat in something similar in HK Disneyland last time.

Sat on Accelerator in Sci-Fi City. Its like that rotating-spinning teacup ride. Shaun's most thrilling ride hahahaha no idea why he kept screaming and then started clapping his hands awkwardly during the ride.... ._.

The 2 death defying roller coasters... Cylon and Human. T.T You should see the entire thing! Its really really really long and steep at some parts and I think either the blue or red one goes underground. So scaaaaryyy. I'm too much of a chicken to sit that. Hahaha just hearing the screams and watching it go around scares me.

Anywho, Sci-Fi City was the last stop and we sat nearly everything minus the kiddy rides + those 2 scary roller coasters. Oh the Transformers section wasn't open yet that time.. but apparently it just opened recently! Darn it.

After this we just walked around and went to catch the other performances we've yet to watch. Its either our timing is damn ngam or we're lucky that we did all the rides in time cause we managed to catch nearly all the performances! :D So happy we did.

The Marilyn Monroe place... Hahaha so many kids were standing on top of that thing I had to wait quite a while just to take a picture there. Shaun's one somehow looks like a genie floating. (he jumped) If you see the top left picture, "Lights Camera Action"it was a empty sound stage that was a setting for a hurricane in NYC. Preeeeeetty cool stuff.

Watched a short video by Steven Spielberg before entering the place. Something about how movie effects are done.... Quite interesting. I liked it, everything seemed so surreal 0.0 The windows flying off, the fire, the huge ship that came out from nowhere 0.0 Pretty stunning.

Pretty good I suppose, not really into breakdancing but I think they were good :3 Oh they picked a few people from the audience to join them in doing a mexican wave, then they had to do any freestyle dance of their own. One of the ladies kinda did some pole dancing kinda thing... a bit awkward. Hahaha.

However the real dinner waitresses in the diner were actually old aunties :3 Just saying....hehe. I always rushed to line up to take a picture with the characters/people hahaha. And for the performers they closed the photo session quite fast cause they had to go on stage.... Lucky I got there the first to take picture :3 Hahahahaha

Presenting....... my favourite performance of ALL! :D Hehehehehehehe. The Daddy O's. They sang mostly Beach Boys oldies. Ahhhhh I was melting just watching them sing.... :3 So hensem.

The highlight of my day was dancing with one of them, the one who's standing on the most right side of the top 2 pictures. Hehehehehe *melt* I got so obsessed with Beach Boys songs after that.... -_-''

And thaaat's the end of our day in USS. We spent the whole day there from 10am to 7.30pm. I would say way better than HK Disneyland : )

Day 3 :

Last day in Singapore; planned to meet up with Kate. Wanted to drop by the Azea office, but forgot it was Deepavali or something so they were on holiday too. Went to Bugis Street to look for my "I <3 Singapore" shirt :3

Had lunch with Kate at Ajisen Ramen; then Kao bubble tea! Quite nice, their pearls were really small and soft... I liiiiike.

Surely a memorable trip : )

#20 Happy Happy!

Today I'm in a happy jolly mood because of many reasons :

1. Final exams are over! Done with 2nd semester : ) So glad that there's no more Media Law & Ethics!! (that's if I pass, but I think the exam was alright!)

2. Nadia gave me a 2pm poster today!!!!!!!! :D (Yes I'm a 2pm maniac) Apparently there were Unifi people promoting their concert and giving out freebies... Darn, I shouldn't have went back so fast. But luckily Nadia knows me well enough and she was so nice to take one for me :)))))))) Super happy!

3. Went to play badminton for 3 hours at Cheras Challenger Sports Centre. 12 of us went, so we booked 2 courts. Zomg I've never played badminton for that long, my body is ALREADY starting to ache. Usually it starts to ache the next day. D: But it was fun! Made up for my lack of jogging recently. Had dinner at In House cafe.

4. For the first time so far, I finally felt a little Christmas joy! Thats because I saw some pretty lights and christmas deco at Sunway Pyramid, it was outdoors and the whole walkway was decorated with lights. Reindeers... etc. Soooo pretty!! I can't wait to see more Christmas decorations around : )

5. Had some little grateful moment of having lovely friends; and the feeling of joy that college is done for the year, and we have about 2 months holiday! :D

#19 CommFest & Fashionology

So CommFest & Fashionology was yesterday. Comm Fest is an annual event held by diploma students from the School of Communication. (So I guess maybe next year we might have one too) The beginning launch was good, but actually there's nothing much to do after that, cause the booths were quite few only... so just look-look-see-see and buy stuff if you want.

There were a few performances, by cheerleaders, No Noise Procussion (they were really good!! Using normal items as their instruments), Zlwin Chew magic show (he said his area of magic is "mentalist" something like mind tricks + psychology related o.O) Quite cool.

One of his tricks was, he took 8 volunteers from the audience and gave them each envelopes to hold. Then he took another 2 volunteers, one who picked out a random page and then a random number from the yellow pages, and the other one wrote down the number on paper to show everyone. So it was like 7781 9930 (example only) and then he asked 8 of them to open their envelopes and hold up the paper. And each of their numbers were the same as that number from yellow pages!!! How amazing is that 0.0

That the page and number were randomly picked, seriously......... 0.0

This is a "faceME" project, part of commfest. I think this is probably one of the main things of commfest.. Basically you have to buy those cardboards for RM13, you get a bunch of stickers (like, comment) and you go around asking people to stick stuff on your "wall". The person whose "wall" is most "decorated" will win a prize.

Me too lazy to play that thing. Not to mention carry around a cardboard the whole day. Zzz

There were quite a few performances though, like got that fire stunt show, some people singing, dancing, bands playing.. I think the best was that guy (bottom left pic) who sang Beyonce's songs and he could really dance to it hahaahha that was epic. (click here to watch)

Also went to sit in on PhatFabes talk. He talked a little about "how to be yourself in front of a mic, or camera, or radio" Something like that. Because everyone puts on a different side of themselves when they have to talk on camera or radio... or using a mic. You get the gist of it. He did some activities which were pretty funny too hahaha, like talk to each other using numbers. A girl said to a guy "1 2 6 2 9?" Get it? But the other guy seemed like he was just babbling numbers... none of us understood hahaha. "36, 99, 87" uhhhhhhhhh what.

Anywho, after we finished looking around the booths, I decided to stay back til night to watch the Fashionology show. (Supposedly Fashion + Technology combined) My friends and I were too cheap to buy an rm50 ticket..... so we sat from afar and watched. Hahaha a lot of other people did that too, all sitting by the balcony at Starbucks :3

The Fashionology set up during day time & then night time. The whole thing looked really nice and sleek, with black chairs and a lighted runway and spotlights going around... Wahhh.. It seemed like a very classy event.

The fashion show. But IMO, the guys who walked down the runway wasn't really well-dressed...they all looked so casual like the normal shorts and a tee. Meehhh~ In regards to it being "fashion + technology" actually I think there's nothing special about it. They just stuck those little lightbulb thingy's onto their outfits.

But still, I'd have to give credit to them for pulling off a fashion event like this in Taylors. First of its kind. *Clap clap*

Aaaaaand I like having free goodie bags. Hehehe :3

#18 Prime Minister's Speech

So our final presentation for the Presentation Skills subject (which plays as our final exam) is 40%.

40% for a 4-5 minute speech.

A speech given as though I am the PM of this country.

The title of the speech is "My biggest concern for the future is...."

Oh my goodness... So nervous for this one. 40 freaking percent!!!! zomg.

"You must deliver this formal speech in a highly comforting and encouraging tone, yet professional and firm in your stance."

So many things to do.

CRM presentation on Wednesday
Psych presentation on Thursday
DG Website due next Tuesday
CRM proposal due next Friday
MLE assignment 2 also due next Friday
And to prepare for my PM speech!!

Need to start brainstorming on my BIGGEST concern for the country. Any ideas?

Our speech is going to be in an open area, where everyone will be passing by and there'll be chairs for people to be seated. Lecturer said that other Comm lecturers thought this was a brilliant idea and apparently have started to BLOCK OUT their dates to come and watch our speeches.

Zomg. Not only that, if we don't reach 4 minutes, there goes 10% off the total 40%. And if we exceed 5 minutes, bye bye 5%.

On another note, I still kinda think its a good experience for public speaking. To face an audience and overcome your fears.

Or not.

I could either end up doing O-kay for my presentation, or end up having more fear of public speaking.

#17 Birthday pt.1

(1) Pre-birthday celebration at Tony Roma's

Papa was going to Bangkok for the weekend so he suggested to have an early birthday dinner instead hehe.

Papa bought me a birthday muffin! Hahaha so cute. Papa & sister sang a birthday song for me, then I think the Tony Roma's staff realized. Later on they came singing for me too, with this pretty martini glass which had a brownie and vanilla ice cream covered with something like oreo biscuit sprinkles!

It was gooood.

(2) Surprise birthday celebration at Genting

Kate came down to KL on Thursday, and we planned to go for a one day trip to Genting on Saturday. Went for dinner with Mas & Kate on Friday night at Manhattan Fish Market. Ordered this big platter of seafood.. Super filling!

Kate invited us to stay with her at Pacific Regency for the night, then we can go to Genting together the next morning :) Played a couple rounds of monopoly deal!

Presenting.... the most expensive sweet potato I have ever eaten in my life.

RM13 for that potato! Kate was looking for it cause she had it before.. she bought 2 potatoes for 4 of us to share. We asked her, "So how much ah this potato?" She said "RM26" All of us just stood there stunned hahahahha. RM26 for sweet potato?! omg hahahaha. (RM13/potato) Nevertheless it was really sweet, possibly the sweetest potato I've ever had :p

Sat on this Flying Coaster ride with Mas! It was thrilling, but ended very quickly. Its not the typical sit-down position, but instead you stand up on that thing there, then it rotates you horizontally so you'll be like superman position hahaha.

Ate at HotPot for lunch, mix of steamboat + grill. It was alright, considering the fact that I don't really eat all those fu-chuk or taufu things... I only ate sausages, sotong and beef :B We ate lunch for 3 hours hahaha cause we were waiting for Anson & Charlene to come. Went to karaoke for 2 hours after that, we were super full already from lunch, but to get the cheapest price for karaoke we had to choose the one that came with a set meal. Which was nasi lemak.

5 nasi lemak's sat on the table, untouched. ._____. Poor nasi lemak.

Kate & I were surprised by Anson, Charlene and Mas!

Initially, Anson & Charlene said they were going to the toilet. No doubts of course. They went out quite long, I was wondering why they took so long to go toilet. Thought they went somewhere else together (they're a couple). Then Mas was on the phone, kind of noisy since we were karaoke-ing so she went out to talk. After a while, all 3 of them came in and surprised us! Soooo nice of them.

Didn't expect it cause I just met Charlene & Anson on the day itself. But they're really nice! :) Feel so blessed to have nice friends.

#16 My new mac cover!!!

I came home and found a package in my room! Finally, my eBay order has arrived since I paid for it on October 10th. So I waited 12 days for it to arrive ^.^ Was so excited to open it :B Oh what I bought was 4 items for only RM110.70 (after converting from AUD) It consists of a sleeve, keyboard cover, hard cover casing and screen protector + soft cloth. So worth it!!! Cause if you buy the hard casing itself from a Mac shop here, it already costs RM150.

Wanted to try the paris brest from Beard papa's but the lady said don't have :( so I just got 1 cream puff. Did the price increase or was 1 cream puff always rm 4.30? Cause for something made of flour, eggs and a few other ingredients..... that is pretty pricey for a cream puff. Just saying.

But that cream puff was heaaaaaveenlyyyyyyy ^_^

#13 Shepherds pie... and some cendol

So my last presentation assignment was to present "how to cook your favourite dish" as though it is your own actual cooking show. I made shepherd's pie ^.^ Aaaaand we had to dress in accordance with our "cooking show" name so I wore my black striped apron during my presentation :3

Our presentation is limited to 5 minutes only, and we should get into the 4-5 minutes zone to be considered "safe". A lot of people from my tute didn't reach that zone though :s I was scared I couldn't too! Cause when I practiced I always got to like 3 and a half minutes or so.

*Buuuuuut in the end I managed to pass 4 minutes, pheeeeew* :D

Here's a short preview of my shepherd's pie :D

Ingredients that I used, except I only used 1 carrot instead of 2 and 2 onions instead of 3.

After dicing up the carrots, celery & onion :)

My mashed potatoes :3 This time I didn't peel off the potato skin and just mashed it all together :B

Salt + pepper + milk + butter ^.^

Frying everything together (but haven't poured in the tomato paste)

Then placed into the dish and spread the mashed potato on top

Tadaaaah, with some parmesan cheese and little bits of butter on top!

Bake time! 220C for 30 minutes.

The edges looks "brown" because I think I put too much tomato paste earlier, so the sauce kinda crept on top of the potato and got baked, thats why it looks like that. Hehehe

Hehehe pieeeeeee i love anything that has potato.

Hehe cooking presentation day was good. Some of them actually brought their food to class for all of us to try :D I had rendang + rice, some yummy chicken sandwich, rice krispies and pineapple tarts my favourite ^.^ After that I was already full that I didn't have lunch hahaha.

Lecturer said to make an impact on your last slide so that people will remember it... So I put the Pope in it.

"This shepherds pie is so amazing that even the POPE is worshipping it!!"

(of course the picture of my pie was placed right on top of him hehe)

One Saturday I was at Ikano with my dad and he wanted to buy fruits since we didn't go to the pasar malam that day. So we went to Cold Storage and he ended up buying a papaya. Since Saturdays = No plastic bags day.....

So papa casually carried a papaya around Ikano. Hahahahahahaha so funny :B

Yummy cendol from Little Cravings at OU :D Love the gula melaka! But it was buried deep down under all that ice so I only discovered it at the end...by that time I ate all the ice already so when I mixed it, it became overly sweet. >.<

With Julian in the car when going to BU3's school carnival hehe. Went to see Joyce and Brittany ^.^

So I clicked the #tag to see all the others and they were pretty funny hahahahha. If you used peribahasa's a lot during your BM karangan's back then, then you would understand some of it. These are the quite common ones hehe.

On a side note, I've an IKEA shelf as my wallpaper and i dragged my folders onto the shelf to make it look like a real shelf :D

Hehe got the idea from Andrew when he put a shelf too, but his was a different one :3

I was googling "ikea shelves background" and I thought it was so cool that some-other-country's IKEA had a "downloads" section and you could download this background from there. There's other colours too. Most of the folder icons there are also given together when you download it! So nice :3

The time when my facebook & twitter timeline gets swamped with football-news during a good match. Anywho, apparently it was a MU vs. Chelsea game yesterday. Although I don't watch football, its good to be updated so you have a little clue of whats going on when people talk about the match :P

Of hair.

So I decided to cut my hair...after a really really long time of not cutting it. Andrew said I look like the watermelon cat. Grr..... kind of lah. But nevermind, it'll grow out soon enough :B

#6 End of Fullhouse addiction

Currently on a 1 week Hari Raya break. I've been watching Fullhouse everyday since I downloaded it heehee, finally finished it this afternoon though.. So I guess I have no excuse anymore to not start my work.

I thought MLE assignment 1 was due this Friday, apparently not :D Next Friday only soo I guess I'll read up on CRM since there's a quiz when we get back... Ahhh.

Oh ya... apparently its mooncake festival now. I don't really fancy mooncakes... taste weird hehe. I mean I would eat the crust, but I wouldn't eat the filling...and the ones with egg yolk inside....

I like to cut the mooncake though. Just saying.

Nowadays they create all sorts of mooncake flavours... chocolate..durian..green tea... eeughhh so weird.

Yes it was! Near where I put my palm when typing. Felt a little zap zap that made my hand itchy. Strange.

Went to the Chic Pop Bazaar at Jaya One yesterday with my sister. I think it was by far the biggest bazaar I've been to 0.0 the shops seem to be never ending and the place is huge. 2 floors some more! I didn't really browse through allllll the shops...that would take forever and we were there for more than 2 hours. Ended up buying 2 tops for Rm50 :D

Oh ya bumped into my cousin and his girlfriend too, what a coincidence... Haven't seen him in forever haha. Was playing the Redfm game with them and won 2 movie passes to Colombiana, which isn't out yet. Watched the trailer, seems pretty interesting hehe.

Movie screening this Wednesday! Going with Flobo :)

Had lunch at Tappers Cafe, shared mash potatoes and caesar salad with my sister. They're both quite yummy! Hehe I love caesar salad, haven't had it in an extremely long time.... Yummy. Except the croutons weren't really crunchy. The mash potatoes were super filling though... such a big portion too, for only rm3.80!

Anywho, went to Tesco today after church. I wanted to buy a shelf-thingy for my room cause it seems I have a lot of things and no where to place them.

Tadah! Bought this for RM60. Yay, finally put all my stuff in there and now theres so much more space on my table. I used to have a stool beside my chair where I stack all my books, files and whatnot. My room seems to be filling up with things.... recently bought 2 shoe racks also haha.

Space space space. I like being neat and tidy. :B

Anywho, since I'm not allowed to post this on fb.... I don't think my sister knows my blog...just yet. HEHE

She just got a haircut. A 3 hour hair cut. Which resulted in this.....

Hahahahaha sorry its too funny...... :D Cute laaaah... it has the potential to grow out nicely :3

Went back to Andrew's uni first; wow is it huge or whaaat 0.0 Apparently its the size of London.

Enjoying the sunny day :D

Had a little tour of the campus. Very nice place, everything is quite open air and spacious. Plenty of facilities and they even have this place with horses...for the vet students apparently. I can't believe their readers (something like our textbooks but the photostated version, 2nd hand) are only $2! Much cheaper than our photostating an entire textbook.. but apparently people usually rush to get it so your lucky if you get yours.

Bush Court. Hehe how nice to have a picnic there...

Hehe so we decided to go to Fremantle (also known as Freo) today. Andrew has this super obsession with this sushi place there...he thinks its amazing >.< It was ok la, good cause the sushi roll was big and fat compared to Malaysia's one. Salmon one was yummy! I looooove salmon. My sister doesn't like salmon....or any other raw fish. Hehe juuust saying.

Thats pretty much it for day 1. The sun sets very early there, like 5pm its getting dark already... so there isn't much daylight unless you wake up early and really make use of the entire day.

Oh ya, the buses there; well actually the public transport in general - is super efficient! Compared to Malaysia's of course. You should see their bus schedule, they really list down the exact minute the bus will arrive. E.g. 4.28pm, 4.32pm, etc. And its usually quite punctual. Bus drivers are friendly too!

#2 The start of Perth day 1

The night before I was telling him, "I'm reaching at 5.30am, you better be there when I come out!" And he says "Ok ok"

While I was waiting at the gate to board my flight, they announced that there was going to be a delay.. so I thought I'd reach around 6am. In the end, the delay wasn't a super long delay, probably 10 minutes or so but in the end we did reach there at the initial time, 5.30am.

Got off the plane feeling allllll excited, went through immigration, got my luggage and walked towards the exit. Walked out looking to spot him there.....but to my dismay he wasn't to be found :( My phone was on SOS mode so I couldn't make any calls out. I tried to figure out how to use the public phone.....but couldn't in the end -_- Saw the friendly Indian lady I sat next to on the plane and borrowed her phone to try and call him but I don't know why it couldn't get through..... In other words I had 0 way of directly contacting him.

So yes I was stranded there for like an hour & a half... T.T T'was a super unpleasant start to my excited trip :(

Anywho, luckily there were computers there with free internet, so I went on facebook and twitter to drop him messages hoping it'll notify him on his phone. No reply though T.T The only person online was Michelle who was in UK. I asked her to help me call him but it didn't go through as well...so I asked her to call Kristie to call him. And I felt bad hogging the computer cause I was waiting for her reply while other people were waiting to use the computer >.<

In the end he came around 7.30am *finally* Well technically it wasn't his fault entirely cause he followed his friend who was picking up 2 other friends and she didn't wanna go so early to wait for us to arrive.

Basically I sourplummed in the airport. I shall forever remember that moment... although he has been forgiven. Hehe.

#1 Deciding to blog.... yet again

Hello there. I haven't blogged in a long time... I have a tendency to blog on and off and if I stop blogging after a few weeks I'll become lazy and close my blog. Then again there are spur-of-the-moment times when I feel like rekindling my blog. (i.e. right now)

But.... I kinda have 4 assignments to do and have barely started on any. I should really get started today. Like really..... I keep getting sidetracked by facebook games -_-''

Maybe I'll blog later today hehe after getting some work done.

Okay so I tried finding a desktop blogging client for Mac that's equivalent to the Windows Live Writer, but you can only get the good ones for a trial of a few weeks then you'll need to buy it. Damn it. I guess I'll just stick to tiny pictures on Blogger.

So far I've spent half my day watching Heartstrings or playing Sims. Haih my life.

BUT I did get 1 of my work done...soo I'll continue more later. For our Digital Graphics assignment, we have to create a magazine cover with Adobe InDesign...and the "best" part is..... that we can't take any pictures off the internet..... meaning the magazine cover would be a picture of OURSELVES. -_-'' Can be more paiseh or not.

I mean I like learning how to use Adobe InDesign and I think it'll be fun to edit here and there...but editing your own face is a bit weird. HAHA edit myself to be less chubby :B

Media Law & Ethics is going to be the most boring subject this semester... Sigh only the first week and I'm disliking it already.

Anywho, going to start blogging about my Perth adventure hehe!
